Coating your Floor

Coating is the last step in the process of finishing your hardwood floor.  Coating protects the wood and adds sheen.  Most finishes now available are water-based.  Water-based finishes are actually more durable than their oil based predecessors. They are also easier on the environment and generally have less odor on application. Many oil-based finishes and sealers remain on the market as people still want certain traditional hardwood colours that water-based finishes may not provide. BH uses Bona finishes as a preferred choice for all our floors.
